CABAÑA

Cabaña was built in 1975 by award-winning architect Simón Vélez for Colombian painter Gloria Mejía. This jewel of a beach house consists of one ample suite and three rooms completely unhindered by walls and overlooking Playa Los Naranjos, on the northern border of Parque Tayrona. Guests have a view of the sea from every bed in the house. An actual immersive experience into the wonders of the country’s most visited natural park, with both the Piedras river and the Caribbean at your feet. All rooms have a private bathroom and there are also plenty of terraces to unwind. The design surrenders to Parque Tayrona´s natural exuberance. It is both austere and elegant, mimicking the shape of a gargantuan pelican in flight. As the house has stairs and verandas it is not recommended for children, elderly folk or persons with disabilities. The strong sea currents make this beach a surfer’s paradise. Please keep in mind that the sound of the waves can be overwhelming – probably a good idea for sound sensitive guests to book in Maloka instead
